Tasmanian merchandise exports up 31.5%

Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows that Tasmanian companies exported merchandise worth $3.71 billion in the year to May 2007 – an increase of 31.5% over the previous twelve months and a record high. The increase is more than double the national export rate rise of 13% for the same period.
