The Launceston Golf Club is a par-72, 18-hole, 5,987-metre members’ golf course only five kilometres from the launceston CBD in the suburb of Norwood.

The fairways are lined with gum trees and blackwoods. Accuracy is required, rather than an ability to drive long off the tee. The golf course has gentle undulations so that it is easy to walk.

Good natural drainage and an automated watering system mean that the fairways and greens are in good condition throughout the year.

The clubhouse has the usual facilities, including bar and catering. Memberships for Launceston Golf Club are available and the annual subs are under $1,000.

“Golf is popular because it has such variety.”
