Private school fees in Tasmania half those of mainland states

Interstate families are showing interest in independent schooling in Tasmania. Private school fees in NSW and Victoria can be more than $20,000 per annum, while parents pay less than half that amount in Tasmania.
Enrolments at independent schools in Tasmania have increased by more than four percent in the last six years, while they have fallen at government schools during the same period.
